Magic is a 130-foot tri-deck motoryacht built in 2004. Both her hull and superstructures are built of composite materials. Immediately following her transition to new owners, MAGIC spent the winter of 2013-14 at Front Street Shipyard for a major refit.

Several design changes were incorporated into MAGIC during the refit. The most significant was to the flybridge, where the deck layout was reconfigured to accommodate additional seating, a forward five-person spa, a day head, an outdoor cinema, and a redesigned arch, mast, and hardtop structures. The construction of the new fiberglass hardtop was a labor-intensive design-build process spanning several months and requiring a team of Front Street Shipyard’s best composite technicians.

The bow deck has new seating areas with interchangeable dining and sun-lounging configurations. Front Street Shipyard worked with both a yacht design and interior design team to achieve the contemporary, comfortable aesthetic.

Lastly, Front Street Shipyard’s systems team installed a hydraulically powered beach club transformer. Custom made in stainless steel, the transformer was fitted to the yacht’s transom. The transformer drastically increased the size of the swim platform, while also serving as a “sport deck” with extendable passarelle, dive platform, swim ladder, and a jet-ski dock.

The result was a yacht that fits the new owners’ lifestyle and usage requirements, but that is also updated to meet current trends in the charter and resale markets.
